Re-painting brake calipers

Featured Replies

Hi,

I initially painted them red with Hammerite smooth red and now i want to paint them black. My question is, for best results, whether i need to strip off the red paint first (and if so then how do i do that) or just paint on top of it?

Thanks

Glad you've seen sense, red calipers on little brakes look naff but they should be OK to paint over the top, just make sure you clean all of the dust and crud off them first.

Haha yeah exactly, started to think black would be more subtle and look better. Okay cool thank you for that
