VRS Grille Badge

Featured Replies

So today i picked up some parts for the octy. I purchased a new front grille, nsf fog light surround and a bonnet release catch ( the bit that pops out of the grill when you pop the bonnet) I paid £56 inc VAT from my local skoda dealer with trade discount which i thought was very reasonable. I assumed that the new grille would come with a new VRS badge or at least you would be able to swap it over. Turns out that you have to either purchase a new one and glue it on or try and remove your old one. Looking at my old grille it appears to be just bonded on. Has any one experienced this? The reason for replacing these parts are that I just came out to my car one morning and the fog lamp surround was on the floor and ran over. The grille has 2 broken fins and the catch behind was also damaged.

Yup they're just glued on to a normal grill.

Something like a Dremel will probably let you cut the old one off cleanly. Or maybe a wire saw.
