I have just bought an aftermarket headunit and everyting works great except one thing there is no sound.

I have stock amplifier under the driver seat and when i plug in my stock headunit everyting works but with the new one there is no sound can somebody pleaSe help me ? :)

I think the problem here may be that the amp is expecting a signal from the hu to turn on. I may be wrong but I think there are things you can buy that listen to the can and turn the amp on when appropriate?
