Octavia 1.8t (150bhp) diverter valve

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Fitted a forge diverted valve today, but I'm unsure which way round it needs to be! Any ideas please? & also, is it ok to relocate the little vacuum pipe onto the throttle body ( i have removed the "n" valves)

Thanks!

You can fit it either way actually. On it's side it's supposed to be a bit louder, but I've tried both ways & didn't notice any difference. Why do you want to relocate the vacuum pipe?

BTW there's absolutely no performance gain from fitting an aftermarket DV unless you're going to stick a big turbo on.

The reason I'm asking about relocating is because I've removed the n249 valve. I've attached it to the nipple on top of te throttle body. Is this ok?

& I simply bought the aftermarket dv purely for the noise
