I've got 99 felicia converted in a rally car, who else has one an what set ups are you running?

Engine?

Suspension?

Brakes?

Gearboxes?

Mine has a full weld in cage, poly windows an tank and sump guards, I still have the 1.3mpi running a 4 branch an air filter, the ecu has had the Rev limiter lifted to just under 8k. It has some form of uprated suspension in it but unsure of make all I know is it handles better than my road going felicia.

oooooo interesting thread! Mines a road rally car I'm developing atm, very interested to know about suspension. Where'd you get the poly windows and tank guard from?

Did my first stage rally in my car the other week an we got a 3rd in class.

Are you just running with standard suspension in your car? I contacted AVO an they quoted me around £2500 for 3way coilovers.

The sump gaurd an poly windows came with the car, but I'm going to be replacing them soon because they have just been knocked up in someone's garage an are not up to the qualitiy that I'm after with the car, when ive got the prototype made I will make a couple of spares, so if you are after one I can let you I ow when they are done.

How do I upload pics onto the side then I will get the full rebuild on here, it's looking like ££££££ needs to be spent to make the skoda really competitive

Yes totally bog stock suspension other than a pair of derv front springs, iv got a set of coil overs for the rear that came from a forest Felicia, nothing amazing but better than standard, iv got a caddy van I need to mot and sell and that'll fund some for the front :-D I have cut away the front cross member after having it beat to f**k and now have a hunk of 30mm X 50mm box under the rad with a big old sheet of chequered plate under it which I'm sure ties the front end together and has made it handle so much better.

Have you got a roll cage in your car an rear strut brace that will stiffen it up an make it handle way better too, I'm fitting a deisel pickup anti roll bar to mine, an I'm going to make an anti dive kit to help stop the front from diving down under braking an cornering.

Also fabricate a strong front strut brace, the standard one seems a bit flimsy too me

I havnt caged this one but I think I'm going to get this one to where im happy, run it until it starts to get very tired then find a nice tidy shell, strip it cage it triangulate it as well seem weld it (im guna do that when I change the engine over the summer) then drop all my bits in to the new one, hopefully not for a few years yet nut one day. I know what you mean about front strut brace... only thing with a rear one is road rally you have to retain interior and I carry 2 spare wheels so with a rear brace it'll get main tight for room back there.

A cage will transform the way the car handles, if there's anything I work out or find that makes them better in performance an handling I will post it up on here
