The more time I spend with my car and the little bits I am adding to upgrade it the more I like it. I got it at a great price due to the mileage and it had a new turbo last year and lots of other bits. I am starting to consider buying a low mileage engine rebuilding it  and getting it fitted by a garage. I have never worked on a diesel engine before having only ever rebuilt mini a series and rover k series engines so don't know if its beyond me but I need some shed time anyway. Has anyone done this? Any ideas on prices for garage fitting? 

The only thing that puts me off is the drivers door damage which means respray and I am guessing serious money. I did look into getting a complete door but worry the paint will look a different colour.
