1.9 TDi PD Tuning Box - Pros / Cons?

Featured Replies

Thinking about slightly increasing the power in my mk1 octavia 1.9 tdi pd for towing purposes. I've looked around the internet and ive came across a tuning box on ebay for only £17.50 :

The listing claims to increase bhp by 35 and torque by 70 and still increase mpg. All sounds too good for under £20.

Has anyone bought something similar before? If so are they decent for the money or can these do damage to the engine, turbo, flywheel fuel pump etc?

Thanks in advance.

It's a resistor that bypasses the fuel temp sensor giving a false reading to the ecu. Result is the ecu in tears fuel duration which results in more power.

Crued but effective. You won't get +35bhp.

50p resistor in a box. There are some good tuning box's that plug into the injector harness, but they're no cheaper than a decent remap.
