Ordered Fabia III today.

Featured Replies

Hello from Norway. New on this forum but not new with Skoda. Have had a 2002 Octavia estate, 1.9 tdi, 110ps

Ordered my first new car today.

Skoda Fabia Estate, 1.2 TSI DSG, Style.

(I think it is the same as your SEL)

Cant wait for it to arrive. Its about 3-4 months delivery time.

Specs:

Race Blue

17" Prestige alloys

Sport suspension

Mud flaps, front and back

Glass roof (panorama)

Sport seats

Sport stearing wheel

Tinted windows from the B-pillar and back.

Bolero radio

Electric windows front/back

Keyless entry and start/stop

Basically all you can have on the Fabia in norway except tow bar.

New cars are really exspensive in Norway but this car with all this equipment I think is affordable.

How much do you others pay for this car with this specs?

The Fabia will replace a 2007 Mazda 6 estate.

My english isnt very good but hope you all understand.

Lovely car and virtually exactly what i am looking at, there are a lot of new owners buying the SEL in the estate form ! I do wonder how many hatchbacks are being sold compared to the estate.

The estate is outselling the hatch by 3 to 1 according to my dealer...........I got the estate too!

& without Skoda spin.

'The Estate Orders and Sales are better than the hatch which is not selling well, yet,

but might pick up once there are better discounts on offer'.

They might be selling well but they're not delivering well, I still haven't seen a Fabia III on the road yet!!!

9 owners now in the Owners Register.

There are more than that on Briskoda if you include those that have 'Introduced' themselves in that section.

There really are only a very few Estates from other manufacturers available in the UK in the price bracket, & petrol/ diesel/manual/auto

but there are some better value choices compared to the highest costing 3rd Generation Estates,

and ones with better engines.

'norwayte'  forgive my ignorance and fellow members but what do all the abbreviations TSI - DSG - SEL mean ?

I do understand it's a 1.2litre engine...

It's a pity you have to drop down to a 1.2litre from your Mazda Estate and loss of space inside, but you got to do, what you got to do..

TSI is a turbocharged petrol engine, DSG is the automatic gearbox. SEL is, what do you call it, accessorie grade?! Just like ambition, elegance and so on.

The performance on my mazda, isnt very different from the Fabia. The Mazda has the 2 litre diesel with 120 ps and 320 nm. But it is almost 500 kg heavier than the Fabia.

The space isnt that much different either. The Boot on the fabia is 530 litre but its smaller in the backseat and front seat. The mazda has 505 litre boot but has a wider back seat and so on.

The VW 4 cylider 1.2 TSI petrol engine has a Turbo.

the VW 3 Cylinder 1.4 TDI Diesel engine has a Turbo

the DSG is an 7 gear twin dry clutch Automated Manual Gearbox.

SEL is more costly than say a S  or a SE due to having more features.
