Hi

I need to turn off the front passenger air bag in my 2011 1.4tsi estate.

Can anyone please advise on how I would do this?

It is so that I can put my son in a front facing car seat on the passenger side.

There is a switch in the glovebox that you use the ignition key to turn I think?

I didn't think you need to turn them off (and infact shouldn't) for FRONT facing child seats? I was under the impression it was only rear facing ones that were dangerous as they can crush the child between the seatback and child seat?

Correct according to the Owner's Manual.
