part codes

Featured Replies

Not sure if im in the right post but can anybody clear this up.

Iv been looking for a new power steering hose two made by febi and bilstien and one from skoda direct.

Now this is where its gets confusing.

The two made by febi amd bilstien are the part numbers 1j0422893dd these both are listed compatible with the octavia vrs 2002.

Yet the one from skoda part number 1j0422893gm is also listed as the part number but skoda say the dd code is not compatible.

So which is as the manufacturer of the code ending dd show the part is for my car and there is a big difference in price between the two parts.

Any help please.

Thanks

If you look at the list the DD part has been superseeded :-

It looks like the latest part number ends with GM (MANUAL GEARBOX).

The above parts list is lifted from my ETKA and is for a 02' Octy vrs.

Hope this helps.

Hope this helps as iv seen people wanting new power steering hoses and saying that they cost a fortune. Well if this is the case the dd part only costs 89 pound to the 200.
