2 Fabias in and 2 Rapid Spacebacks out - thoughts ?

Featured Replies

Thinking of trading my wife's Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.6tdi 105 (2 and a bit year old) and my Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo 1.6tdi 105 (8 month old) for 2 Skoda Rapid Spacebacks. Wife's would be a 1.6tdi 90 and mine would be a 1.2 tsi 105.

Any thoughts folks ?

Do you both like the Seat / Driving position in the Spaceback?

Is the deal good?

Forgot to mention both would be SE Sports. £2500 PX allowance and 0% finance. List price. My car is in neg equity and the allowance helps. Lot of car for money. Wife's PCP up in January and I' m a bit disappointed with the Monte. The pulling to the left gets on my nerves, the crisp packet noise from the instrument binacle and hard ride also annoy.

Seats seam OK ?

I've just been looking at the spaceback se sport and thought it was very nice didn't have any 1.4 dsg for us to play with though

Sorry, i did not really mean the actual seats,

but the seating position, steering wheel & pedal position.  (ergonomics)

I seriously disliked it in a Rapid & Rapid lack of Space in the Back.

Never noticed anything about the driving position ? Is it a bit off ?

I noticed it more compared to driving a DSG Fabia.

Down to being Right Hand drive version of a car designed to be left hand drive i suppose.

Maybe no bother to others, and the inner sill footwell was not to my liking, but if you are both comfortable.

I can see lots of Skoda being reduced in price in the UK,

the Yeti might be well priced before the new engines come in, and the New Fabia Hatches will need to be better priced if they are going to sell.

The Rapids are a sales disaster for Skoda in the UK.

I nearly did the same about a month or two back, was after a Spaceback 1.2 TSI GREENTEC SE Sport with the Ray alloys, don't pay list even with the deposit allowance and 0% finance as there's loads of room to move and the residuals don't appear that good.

The only thing putting me off was the fitting of roofbars for my bikes, the brackets were almost touching the glass roof so was worried in case anything happened. I'm going to stick to my original plan of a Fabia III 1.2 TSI 110 estate in September.

How much room for negotiation do you think there is ?

At least a grand off list, as George said above, they can't sell Rapids at the minute.

Just have a look at Carwow, Orangewheels etc online and get quotes from them then take those quotes to your dealer to see what price he can do them at.
