Help my glowplug light keeps flashing and the car won't start

Featured Replies

As anybody had this problem before the glowplug light just flashes and car wont start

Glow plug light flashing points to brake light either both bulbs gone or switch under pedal knackered. More detail needed in the not starting - is it turning over but not firing

Checked the brake lights mate they all work. It's turning over but not firing it's getting fuel to the head checked that also tried a sniff of easy start and it still won't fire on easy start. Had the timing check that's all ok also scanned it for codes and there's nothing

Cam/crank sensor? Can you not get it scanned?

double post

I'd agree both diagnoses, so that's 2 separate problems.

It would prob still start if a single glow plug goes on blink but no start sounds definitely electrical! I'm pretty sure it won't be a knackered plug

:-)

Injector loom?

check the connections for the cam/crank sensors at the front of the engine, just behind the oil filter, there's two, one white, one grey. I've had this issue but also had engine management light on too when it happened (dodgy wiring).

But getting it scanned it better than guessing.

My injector loom went before xmas (well not completely) had issues with misfire/down on power when it got to temp, just cant remember if I got one light or two at the time

edit - found my post from the time and I mentioned a dash light (not plural).
