New fabia combi owner (6y5) with a few problems

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Just got my girlfriend a 2002 fabia 1.9 tdi elegance on friday, but it has a few problems

Starter bendix sticking (runs on and squeals, should be an easy fix if I take it out, sand it and grease it)?

Drivers door does not turn on the interior light, lights on warning buzzer etc. (is this the door lock mech? or is there more to it?, Also how do I remove the door panel as it has electric mirrors)

Needs a new heater flap position motor (V68) I only get Ice cold or boiling warm air out of the heater and vagcom logs it as a fault with the flap position motor

Needs a new drivers door mirror cap. (how hard is this to fit?)

Drivers heated seat does not work (seat stripping job I take it?)

Any help with these problems would be VERY much appreciated, as we are getting married next month and I am looking to get it all fixed myself on the cheap!

Door is easy enough to take panel off. Not so easy if you don't know where the clips are but a search on here should have a walk through. If not you are heading for breaking the clips which is a headache.

Probably the microswitch on the driver's lock mechanism. Very common issue on VAG cars. You can't get the switch separately, needs a whole new mechanism unless you're capable of making a similar microswitch fit as I did. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/330840-door-microswitch/

Door ancillaries carrier removal http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/119359-removing-the-ancillaries-carrier/

My heater is similar but intermittent so I'd like the answer to that.

I'd say your seat has burnt out!

Needs a new heater flap position motor V68..
Well part number is 6Q0907511 and it cost around 130 bounds ...I just bought my one yestarday and it cost me 220 euros.
Its not so bad to change if you know what to do. Only difficult for me was how to get off Radio, main lights swich  and OBD plug away. Off course V68 motor it self was quite tight positioin put i get it off.

My old ones motor  Bosch number was 0 132 801 207 2
And official part dealer sold me brand new one and Bosh number  is 0132 801 182 00

And both use   2 line  connector and it use oval plugins

Ouh my car is VRS tdi Fabia year modell is 2004.

But basic is you have to take all plastic covers off under steering wheel and main center console and passinger side too.
