Was told today my cr octy vrs had a slight gearbox noise. Is this somethin to be worried about?

As with anything car related noise can be pretty much anything. I once had a Honda smx minivan that sounded like the gearbox was about to eat itself. I changed the gearbox oil which was actually transmission fluid and it became silent almost instantly. Not saying it will fix yours but hopefully it will turn out to be something simple. I have owned over 30 cars in my driving life and have never once had a gearbox fail. I guess they are pretty tough generally.
