Very easy, very quick to fit and very safe to use - I think they are much better than using the Audi parts.

Should fit all models built on the latest platform - watch the video and check you have the standard mounting holes

I like it.

Just checked mine, sure there are some rubber bungs up the back which look like being in roughly the right place but I can't work out how to get the plastic shroud off the front to see what's underneath...

they look a good idea but I've not seen if they fit to the octy, but i guess they should if they fit the other MQB cars.

bit cheaper direct for ECS ...IF they will ship to the UK   http://www.ecstuning.com/ES251835/

Finally got round to trying to fit this ECS kit, parts obviously do fit the car perfectly and are rated to jack the car up via a trolley jack, the claims that the chassis can be damaged appear to relate to other systems not these.

However the 'puck' that sits on the trolley jack cup has an outside diameter of 2+7/8th inches and does not fit into my jacks cup but rather on top of its castleations and so would not be secure and could easily slip off.  The 'puck' itself is made of aluminium so is not easily reduced in size to fit.

So a great product BUT if you are interested then make sure that your trolley jack can securely retain a lifting puck and that its cup has an inside diameter of 2+7/8th to 3+1/4 inches to hold it safely.

get the OEM Audi pads from the dealers as cheaper, & use a rubber pad on your jack head........my 3 ton jacks have non-slip pads built in but I have a thick folded up wodge of newspaper 3inch x 3inch x 1 inch thick & place between the jack & car pads.........also on the OEM MQB ones from the Audi S3 the rears are a wedge shape & fronts have new trim covers ..................those aftermarket ones do not have trim covers!

The ECS kit does NOT fit my 2015 Octavia Wagon. The rubber plugs are too large for the openings in the floor pan. I did advise ECS. I use the jack adapter from inapinchweld on the pinch welds and they work perfectly, much cheaper too!

As an aside delighted with the car, no probs, 11000 kms to date.

Is it actually an approved jacking point by skoda as non of there documentation refers to this point?

I think these are a fantastic idea however if it bends the floor there's not much point.

As I said in my post June 2015 these jack pad adaptors do NOT fit my 2015 Octavia estate. I use the adaptors from inapinchweld, they work super on a floor jack, I have 2 floor jacks so I could use one either side of the car in tandem to raise front or rear of car if i so wished. I do place jack stands under the car as insurance of course.

Aren't u ment to Jack it up on the sill strip it's self, I mean the edge itself.?

Indeed you do use the pinch weld as shown in the manual, the pinchweld adapter fits on the saddle of the floor jack, fits in the pinch weld and you are good to go.

The pinch adapters I see on web, can I use any of these or do they specifically need to fit the Skoda.

I thought about getting these on my mk2FL but with stores of the area deforming I gave it a miss.

Maybe after some longterm use by someone else, which results I'm no deformation, then I might go for it.

M12mkd

The inapinchweld adapter locates on the pinch weld as specified in the handbook for the supplied jack.

The dealer lifts use the 4 pinch welds to raise the vehicle.

I have used these for a year now and no deformation, nor would I expect any.

Use them with confidence, but only with a good solid floor jack, see the inapinchweld site.

Is there a way to get the Octavia 3 on axle stands without damaging the underbody? The way I understand is that there are only 4 safe recommended spots which are either for trolley jack or vehicle lift but jacking the car and then putting a axle stand seems bit more unsafe or complicated.

The only other alternative is using ramps or jackpoint stands which is are both expensive.

Can someone confirm they safely and regularly use stands and jacks together? Pictures would be great.

Anyone?

I can only think you can if you have 4 hockey type puch and suitable stands , not axle stands like old type for putting under a axle. They have to be suitable i.e flat or the puch could move resultind in the car coming of the stand, the main priority is the car needs to be stable.

The short answer is no. I jack up rear of car so that the front wheel rises also, enough to get one jack stand under front pinch weld. I then place a couple of other jack stands under the car so that if a problem occurs the car will not fall although damage would be possible. Doing this allows wheel rotation and other jobs. It is a real pain not being able to get the car up on 4 jack stands.

Forgot to mention I have a garage quality heavy duty floor jack
