Indicators as sidelights

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I was wondering, how do I get the indicators to stay on as sidelights? Same idea as this Skoda Octavia. Mine is a 2010 Skoda Octavia vRS CR170 FL.

Thanks for your help.

Not 100% sure the FL can do this... but if it can then you need VCDS to activate it.

Thanks for your quick reply. I take it that there is a setting which you can switch them on constanly and get them to flashing off and on, instead of on and off if you know what I mean?

I have managed it in a sense on my wife's Touran. There are a two tweaks in VCDS and the end result is a combination of both. It's a combination of USA settings and Scandinavian settings.

1. Ignition on = all front facing lights illuminated including indicators at 30% brightness - no dash illumination

2. Ignition on and sidelights on = sidelights on and indicators illuminated at 30% & dash illuminated

3. Ignition on and dipped headlights on = as #1 with dash illuminated

To my knowledge, you're not able to get just the indicators on as sidelights.

To my knowledge, you're not able to get just the indicators on as sidelights.

I believe this to be the case as well.

On the FL car this means having the LED DRLs turned off and I know what I'd rather have.

Hi there Jonny5ive,

Do you have any photos of what you did with your Wifes car? And is what you've typed above the three options you can get on the VCDS for the FL Octavia?
