Featured Replies

Think ive found my new car got some questions tho its a monte carlo tdi 61 plate private seller fsh one owner good price, it has the drl lights next to the fog but they dont turn on the owner says its never had them but they are there just not on can they be turned off/on through the dash settings? and also do parking tickets stay with the car or the registered keeper at the time of the ticket (there were three in the door pocket)

Thanks in advance

If it's the same as my last Mk2 Octavia the bulbs are in the lamps, but they are not connected.

Parking tickets are sent to the registered keeper at the time of the offence. Have you done an HPI check?

the vrs has a fuse for the drl's, maybe the monti has this too and its been removed??

If you open the fuse box cover under the steering wheel you'll find a rocker switch, this is for the DRLs and once you've switched them to on they'll light up every time you start the car and will only go off if you switch the side/headlights on.

Cool hope thats all there is too it with the drls then :)

And yes he still owes finance on it but he was completely open about it (i did a check before anyway and asked to see if he lied lol), thinking about paying the finance company directly and giving him the difference

I had this with mine- it went in for a service and after a month or two I realised that the DRLs weren't on. Then I found the switch under the fusebox cover- it's very obvious and now they're on again. In fact, they get turned off everytime it gets serviced, regardless of who does it- maybe mechanics find them annoying when working on the car?
