clutch problem

Featured Replies

Previously I was having knocking noise when the car was left in neutral with foot off the clutch

so I got my clutch changed with a sachs unit with the help of some local mechanics

now the problem is that when ever I try to get in any gear the shifter feels very hard and when it gets in gear it makes a continuous rubbing noise

So my question is that have I installed the pilot bearing housing upside down or the problem is something else.

Your original problem sounds like a dual mass flywheel issue.

So was the flywheel changed (either for another DMF or for a Single MF)? If not, then that may be the base of your issue.

Otherwise, it does sound like your clutch isn't clearing properly, so I'd start by bleeding the hydraulics and then setting up the travel.

Next, I'd do a linkage adjustment before going near pulling the gearbox again.
