Fuel filler flap not closing

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

i put some fuel in last night and when i tried to close the flap it wouldn't close.

i pull the lever and the little black catch does go in and out. Not sure if its enough, but why would it stop working so suddenly?

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Pedro

the catches have a habit of popping off inside the car. Open the boot, pull the carpet back that goes up the side (over the drivers side wheel arch) and you should see if it's popped loose or not.

If it has, simply clip it back into place

Long term fix, there are write ups on other threads about cable ties.

Time will tell if it keeps.
