Hi Karl,

I was looking a changing my headlamp bulbs as was looking at the blue xenon effect ones that Halfords do (are these the same as the Philips Blue Vision?).

I find that I'm "out driving" the standard lamps; are the "blue ones" a big improvement?

If not I'll get the Phillips Vision Plus.

Cheers.

Adrian.

For me the vision plus area marked improvement over stock.

Full beam is excellent, although on very familiar roads it is still quite easy to outdrive your dipped lights...but only if your in very brisk mood.

79% of the time there spot on.

I'm now running the halfords own "extra white" xenon filled jobs, and find them a *lot* better than the standard lamps which were a murky yellow, these have a large white "daylight" type lighting, highly reccomend them.

I put some of the Bosch white-Xenon ones in last night (Halfords didn't

have two of their own-brand in stock) - haven't had a chance to use main

beam yet, but the improvement on dipped is definitely worth it.

Would've been tempted for the "all-weather" ones, but they're that little

bit more expensive!

Rob.

All of the above lamps give a marked improvement over the standard ones . you pays youre money and takes your chance.

I just like the blue effect, does that make me superficial

in a word, Karl, yes!

I've got the PIAA super whites in. Draw the same current as standard (60/55) but produce rather a lot more - 120/110 :D They are rather bright! They are also rather expensive, got a pack with the 2 main lights and 2 sidelights (draw the standard 5, produce 10w) cost
