Not sure a dogbone engine mount will cure this

Featured Replies

Opinions on engine movement? I am guessing I may need a few engine mounts doing?

Start Up engine mount

Looks normal to me.

I can't say I've seen my engine when starting it too often but the older PD engines are known to be a little more agricultural.

My 2008 2.0 PD140 moves about the same on start-up.

Really? I did check the dogbone mount and its definitely shot but I would have thought that was excessive movement. Good to know Cheers :D We compared it against my mates a4 b6 and a passat highline and they both definitely moved a lot less on startup.

Wasn't -20 degrees celsius was it  :D

Hmmm, well the timing belt is being changed next week so that may help, also the shot flywheel might be contributing somehow .  And no that was just after I got back from taking my boy to nursery so car was up to temp already
