Got the chance of getting a cheap one and was hoping it might fit. No pics I'm afraid but I believe it looks much the same.

Is it a 'Take Off' from the new Fabia, or are they already available as an accessory.

Yeah its come off a Fabia. Seen the fitment and it looks much the same but impossible to tell without actually trying. If the spacing of the screw holes is even slightly different then its a no go.

I will do that when I get a hold of it yep. Its also a question of whether the plastic casing will fit into the gap as well because that could be a different shape.

The 3rd gen car isnt very old, people havent had them long to start playing with things like this.
