Will Mk3 armrest fit onto Mk2?

Featured Replies

As title really. Will the new Mk3 Fabia centre armrest fit onto the Mk2 or is it a different shape/size? Anyone know for sure?

Since you have a MK2 it will be an idea to get a look at a uninstalled armrest and try, or remove one for a understanding owner.

really the only way that anyone will know if the fittings have stayed unchanged.

Thanks. I have a Mk2 armrest fitted at the moment and will have a Mk3 to compare it to soon. Was just hoping someone might already know the answer so I don't have to go to the hassle of stripping down and removing my current one only to find it was a waste of time.

Arent armrests a standard feature in all new mk3? Here they are.

I wouldn't know about that pal. I just want to know if a Mk3 one will fit in my Mk2.

I'm seriously considering removing the armrest in my Mk3. I'll report back if/when I work out how it's fixed in place.

I see.

Doubtful I am. Interior measures differ and so does probably parts designs.

Ive got a mk2 and am waiting for delivery of a mk3 first week in May, so if nobody else and your patience will last I can let you know...;-)

Yeah I'm doubtful too. Cheers for that but hopefully I will know before then anyway.

Was in Mk 3 Combi today - and the Armrest is 5" wide (126 mm ) and sits very comfortably between the two seats - there's a max of a 2mm clearance between armrest and either seat.

Then the armrest is supported on an upstand from a central plastic piece that runs up, around the handbrake, towards the main central console. I've never been in a Mk 2 - but unless, that moulding is common on both - then I'd say it's not a straightforward bolt-on.

Hope those meaurements help you with some of the question!

In Irl, only standard on the top-level "Style" model.

So many varieties! Could have been Heinz...

We've got two flavors here; Ambition (!) and Elegance to choose of

Thanks, that sounds very much similar. I do have a feeling that they will have changed the shape of the casing or fixing points but I'll find out soon enough.
