Ok I must be really stupid because for the life of me I cant find how to disconnect the wiring on the rear cluster. Has anyone done this, am I stupid or is there a trick?

It's a slight fiddle but if you get a mirror to enable you to see the connection you will see how it unclips. If I remember I used a thin bladed screwdriver.

I cheated and disconnected the bulb holder to the lamp. It's much easier.
