Jacking/support points

Featured Replies

Where's the best place to position axle stands please? Front and rear.

Used my trolley jack on the rear jacking point but was only able to get the axle stand on the lowest setting under the front jacking point which didn't leave a lot of room !!

I use the bottom of the front rear wishbone mount to jack the car, then I place an axle stand on the chassis rail (NOT the sill lip) around a 1ft from the wishbone bush mount.

+1 best place totally agree..

At the rear I use the axle beam for jacking and axle stands. I know you're not supposed to but even the tyre places do it.

On the front in between the console bush mounts and the sill are "Donuts" (one on each side) they look like little mounds with a 20mm hole in the middle. They are the designated jacking points for a 2 post lift. (according to the Fabia workshop manuals)
