Noise from front wheel

Featured Replies

I've had a strange noise from the front left wheel for a while now. It can only be described as a wub wub noise which can also be felt in the steering at about 40mph and when braking.

When I've removed the wheel the brake disc seems to wobble in time with the noise which made me suspect a warped disc. However, if I remove the disc the hub still doesn't seem to run quite straight.

The question is, could a wheel bearing cause this? There is no rumbling or grinding noise, no major play in the hub but the noise sometimes changes a tiny amount in corners but not enough to pinpoint.

Could be the hub yeah. Or cv joint failing?

Did you have a new bearing in there? May not have been seated properly?

I haven't done anything yet, the brake discs were changed in 2013 then again in 2014 by a skoda dealer, they also rebuilt all the front suspension bushes because of a vibration under braking. This was before I bought it. I'll have a look at the report to see if the bearing was changed. I have wondered about cv joint or driveshaft as well, just not sure how to tell.

Same problem dude. Not much of noise driving but upon turning right get a knocking noise. I suspect wheels baring ot hub
