Amundsen Sat Nav screen lock

Featured Replies

On coming back from Yate near Bristol on Sunday and using the Nav to find my way home,

the screen locked and returned to where I had just come from. Yate.

The voice commands and the dot matrix carried on working correctly.

Switching the ignition off and restarting car did not reset the screen nor did removing/replacing the SD card.

Today I remembered reading the "resetting back to Germany" and touched the on screen car symbol and the screen cleared and reset to my local position.

So all well again, I hope this is not going to be an ongoing Nav problem!

Anyone else had this happen?

It happened once soon after I setup favourite destinations. Navigation didn't start. Had to reset navigation data to factory settings.

These units do seem to have their fair share of wobbly moments, I don't have the sat nav version, but twice my unit has failed to power up right away, and the reverse assist wasn't available as I reversed out of my garage. Traced that cause to my mobile phone! If my phone has entered sleep state, the blue tooth pairing takes longer, so the head unit takes longer to power up.

So put it down to a glitch in the Matrix  :D
