Cg clutch kit advice

Featured Replies

As in the title above in after some advice on the cg clutch and smf kits that are available I have recently come across one for £350 and I'm wondering what power people have used them up to. This weekend I'll be fitting a gtb2260 and all the other supporting mods for around 250bhp so I'm thinking the tourqe when mapped will be around 400lbs has anyone had any experience with this clutch kit running them figures before I buy it..

Thanks in advance :)

Who's mapping it? Southy, Alex and Tom on here are all running gtb turbos all above 250bhp and 350+lbs on standard clutches. I believe toms started to slip but Alex's and southys refuse to die even with abuse.

I also run a gtb at 254bhp and 350lbs with a cg dual clutch, I cannot fault it tbh apart from the rattle from the smf but I'm kinda over worrying about how loud it is tbh.

I think if I had my time again I'd stick with a dmf and probably got a stage one clutch from xman. Providing your map isn't aggressive and you don't boot it from low revs it should be okay.
