elec window problem?

Featured Replies

hit the auto wind down button on the drivers side today and it auto wound down. no suprises there. hit the auto wind up button after finished talking through said window, wound up almost all the way and then it went in reverse and wound itself down again!!! did this a couple of times, before working properly again. i wondered whether any rain could have got into it somehow to cause this problem. but any other ideas or solutions much appreciated!

I believe this is a known issue with the octavia, if you do a search you will find advise on what you should look at doing.

Mines done it a few times, but just recently it has been ok

Not much help, but least you know its known about

cool! thanks, will do a search, didnt think such a silly thing would be a known issue!!!

It is possible to disabel the safety feature to cure the problem. However the window could then injur you or kill a child if it closes and doesnt stop when its hit something.

My Honda Accord did this occasionally, when damp or cold.
