CR engine query

Featured Replies

I've just started to get flashing glowplug and ECU lights come up on my 170 CR engined Octavia.

The code i'm getting is P0236 which relates to boost issues.

I'll be cheingking all pipe work and wiring before I purchase a new MAP sensor.

Am I right in thinking it's located in the boost pipe behind the radiator pack as you look directly down when stood in front of the car?

Hi Everybody!

I know that the diesels are working in a way, that the burning of dpf is working with diesel, so the sysrem brings some fuel back to the filter, but if cant run the burning period completely, then the system brings back the fuel to the engine. It sounds wierd, but true. Economical reason etc....

Question, did you realized any time that the oil level is upper than before, and did you realized ever that the oil is not so thick on the oil pen?

Would it be visible?

Either broken wire at plug connection or in front of starter motor in loom.

Turned out to be the MAP sensor. It was changed just before I bought the car but wasn't a Bosch item.

I fitted a Bosch sensor and all is good.
