intercooler help

Featured Replies

Hi guys, after having my car mapped by John I've noticed I'm getting major heat soak.

I've got a pd150 turbo running around 180-190 BHP and I'm thinking of getting a ebay copy of the seat sport intercooler

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seat-sport-Uprated-intercooler-70mm-core-PLUS-BRACKETS-included-/261762609631?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cf24471df

And the darkside hard pipes

http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/hard-pipework-kit-for-seat-ibiza-vw-polo-skoda-fabia-with-seatsport-fmic.html

Are these compatible with each other and is anything else needed? I've read the brackets that come with the intercooler won't fit but can't find a definitive answer. I have also the pipes are a bad fit but I've also read that it was on the early version?

I realise that crash bar and bumper need modifying thanks to a good guide on here.

Any help would be great, cheers guys

Stephen

It seems hit and miss with the pipes but I'm sure they will fit fine, as for matching the intercooler asking as the intake is the same size as the pipework it will work fine.

The brackets will fit, but again like the crash bar etc some modifying it need to get access to the bolt holes.

It's a good choice setup you've picked, will work well.
