Can I order a Superb Estate but with Octavia wheels?

Featured Replies

I have a 12 plate superb estate and its amazing.

I have to order a new company car at the end of this year and eagerly await the new shape estate. However the wheels offered on the current model are boring and I wondered if I would get anywhere asking the fleet company (lex) to order with Octavia Vrs alloy wheels.

Anyone done this or are they strict on supplying only the model specific wheels.

Thanks

Stu

I can't see how that would be possible from both Lex and Skoda's perspective... as the computer is likely to say "no!"

Always worth asking but I'd be very surprised if they are willing or even can be that flexible.

Try going to a Skoda garage and ask them if that's possible... from Skoda's side. Expect they'll tell you to get the car through Lex, wheels through the garage.. take car to garage, they swap the wheels and you pay them a 3 fig sum for the pleasure.

Am surprised you don't like any of the new alloys though... Ok, not the same as you get on Vrs models but still, some fine ones coming (subject to which trim you go for):

Am waiting for the UK configurator to be back up & running so I can work out the overall spec and which wheels are available on my chosen trim (SE L)... Feels like the configurator has been down since 1973 !

Snap - I've been trying the configurator every day!!!

On the wheels, it looks like there are some pretty cool accessory wheels (black rotor style - a bit Audi Black Edition-eqsue) - probably cost £1,100-£1,500 as a rough guess. Some lease companies will allow dealer fit accessories I think??

Knowing what our lease company are like, and others before, the answer will be no.

You'd be hard pushed to do it as a normal customer, let alone as a lease customer.

The only option that I can see working, would be for you to buy the alloys and change them over yourself, keeping the original ones. But if anything goes wrong as a result, regardless of whether they are Skoda OE or not, you would be liable and making changes to a car which you don't own is very much frowned upon.
