How many miles

Featured Replies

Did your new skoda come with in the clock? Just picked up my citigo which had 67, I thought this was quite a lot as all the other new cars we have had have been quite lower.

Interested to know what others have seen.

Mike

One with 8 and another with 6.

It does seem a little high.

When I saw it pre PDI it had 9km on it, when I picked it up it was on 11miles.

And at Pre PDI TrA was 90% whatever that is!!!

I think mine came with 7 miles, if I recall correctly.... great car - no regrets on that purchase at all!

They don't PDI it at the dealer. Apparently they have a central place. My feelings are they drove it from there to the dealer. No biggy, just not what I was expecting!

Mine was 6 or 7 miles too. Did you buy it direct from and ordered from main dealer, or via one of the big car places like drive the deal etc?

I think anything up to about 100 is generally accepted as "normal".

Most will have less than 20 though really.

Although I didn't buy my car new I saw on the paperwork the mileage noted as 8 miles when the original owner picked it up from the dealer.

It was from a skoda dealer.

I think mine had about 22.

For some reason they prepped some miles away form the dealer which meant it was a bit grubby when it was handed over.

IIRC mine had 12.

Mine was 3.

I've worked at Portbury for the importers (Toyota & Lexus, Fiat & Alpha mainly) - some of them are moved around a lot while at the docks.  Most guys there were really nice, some thought they were rally drivers.  There were quite a few write offs in the short time I was working there.  They normally got to the docks with 3 or 4 miles on the clock, and went through having radios put in (I guess every country has a different unit or setup or summit...) and some other checks.

Massive waste for some cars - the Lexus GS400s that came with in had a new set of tyres put on the car at the docks - the 'used' tyres (all brand new bar 5 miles or so) were shredded, the cars then taken to dealers on transporters.

7 on mine when I picked it up :)
