Clutch & Flywheel advice

Featured Replies

The time has come to replace my clutch and flywheel. I have a stage one shark remap producing 178bhp & 345ft/lbs/470nm torque.

My is, as far as I am aware, on its factory set up. Car has just turned 88k and has been in its remapped state for 2 years.

What would be the best option in terms of replacement? No track driving, although I'd like to try it at some point. A bit of fast road driving is all.

It have my wife and kids in most times unless I'm commuting to work.

I've never sat in/driven a car with a single mass flywheel so I'm unaware of how potentially noisy they can be. Is it bearable day to day?

Does anyone in Manchester have a single mass fitted that they wouldn't mind me having a listen to or drive of?

Any and all input is appreciated.

Matt.

Xman is doing updated plates that can handle a fair amount of torque, if I was in your boat again I'd go to Xman straight away and avoid the smf.

Personally having smf it's very loud on idle although I am used to it now but it serves a purpose for holding power, however a few members are running big power on standard clutches and flywheels, so I think a standard set up would suit you but a xman clutch and sasch flywheel if you ever wanted to go more power but still have the standard clutch feel and no added noise :)
