Hey. I know it's going to be 2 funny questions bur here goes:

I got delivery of my new fabia and not sure if, it is possible to fold the external rear view mirrors? I tried pulling a bit a little but kind of scared i'll break them. In the manual it says you can. Input?

& the 2nd one. My fabia is manual gearbox, any chance I could change this to a DSG in the future? Do they only change the gearbox or all together with engine? And i don't guess you would know how much it could cost?

the mirrors should fold, they just need a firm push / pull toward the window as the are designed to be manually folded in for when parked on a narrow road or in event of impact with another mirror to reduce damage (had the latter several times when idiots tried to get through small gaps)

 

as to the gearbox

 

cheapest way is swap the car, as there are so many things to change its no way cost effective

Hi Lovesome the mirrors do fold back like you I was very nervous about doing it the first time. The one down side is they don't fold back as far as I thought they would. Joe
