another daft question but.............

i have been told that the onboard computer will tell me when my octy vRS is due for a service, but how do i check this???

daddy2coull

When you first turn it on the display will tell you how many miles to go until it needs a service - but ONLY when you are within 1,000 miles. Keep your eyes peeled - it doesn't display for long.

Does it? It goes above and beyond the mere "OIL" flashing like mine does?

Well it did on mine !

 I learn something new about Skodas all the time - really good

She's right you know :D

I think it displays for about 10 seconds. You can't really miss it. I've just had mine in for a first service at 18500 miles. I was filling up with pertol when it had got 17500 on it and was thinking "I hope I haven't missed the light and buggered my engine - it must need a service..."

When i got back in and turned on the engine, the odometer changed to say 1000 and the word SERVICE appeared above the word MILES. Then it counts down.

I guess the car stops working if it gets to zero. Much like the distance to empty NOT :D
