abs cable to near side front on my octavia vrs mk1

Featured Replies

I noticed the other day that the abs and brake warning lights all came on in my car.

I took the front wheels off to have a look and noticed that the clown that had the car before has bodged the cable that leads to the sensor and brake pads (covered in duct tape) so took the tape off and discovered that the exposed wires had weathered and become frail and just dropped off (stuck to the tape).

So what im looking for is a new wire as I've looked everywhere and can't find one anywhere.

Help please.

I can get you a good plug I think plus length of wiring to solder to your current loom. (I think)

Ok. What can I do to protect the exposed wire after, as I think that's why the past repair hasn't worked long term.

Clear length of shrink sleeving?, places like maplin sell it or ebay.

Soldering and heatshrink I think.  I am not an auto electrician to be honest.  I can just provide the part :D

How much would that cost

This is not the place to ask that question.  Any local garage outfit should have soldering gear.  Would only be a matter of minutes to join up two wires.
