Fitting a Parrot system

Featured Replies

I have got a Parrot CK3100 and I want someone in the Birmingham/Walsall area to fit it. Anyone on here thats into car electrics fancy doing it? :)

i'll do it if you are prepared to drive to Belfast!

Why no do it yourself. Should be a doddle in vRS.

Was thinking of getting the other half to get me one of these for xmas... do they just plug straight into the back of the radio of the new octavia II ???

You can get a "standard" ISO lead for them to plug in the box but you need to be careful because all VAG cars have the permanent live and ignition feeds swapped from "standard". Still need to run leads for Parrot control panel and microphone.

Best way to do it is to use the ISO connector to pick up the power (with perm live and sw live switched over of course) and mute signal. then use the separate lead to connect direct to the hands free input on the stream or audience head unit. That way you get 'Phone' displayed on the radio and maxidot but more importantly you can control the volume using the radio's vol control or those on the steering wheel.

He, he. Belfast's a bit far tbh, but thanks anyhow. As for fitting it myself; I aint too hot on the car electrics front. If it didnt work after I plugged it in, i'd be knackered lol. :)

Though I'd ask, just in case there were any car electritions local. Theres a couple of mobile electritions around here, i'll give them a ring see how much they will charge. :)
