Superb 2 DSG7 - faulty TCU replaced but now basic setting not completing

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm trying to fix my friend's superb which has the following problem - gears won't engage - if we put it in drive and accelerate, it revs as if it is in neutral. And unable to connect to gearbox control unit with VCDS.

Specs of the car:

Year: 2010

Model: Superb 2 3T

Engine: 1.8 TFSI Engine code CDAA

Gearbox: 0AM DQ200 7-DSG Gearbox code MLC

So we ordered a new TCU with software pre-loaded. Set it up and it connected to VCDS and there is no DTC stored in the TCU, but was unable to complete basic setting of the transmission (tried performing it with both ODIS and VCDS):

With vcds, I determined that the hydraulic pump is not working:

So we got hold of another valve body and set that up, now pump is running (I can see in VCDS), but cannot perform basic setting and now these DTCs are stored in the TCU:

another problem I found was that the tcu is reporting clutch status as 'invalid' (I check on another good car these fields have correct values)

Any ideas on how to proceed now?

Have you tried the latest VCDS software?

Hello

Yes, my VCDS is 14.10.2 release. I tried performing basic setting with my VCDS, but not successful. The older release in the pics is the vcds on my friend's laptop.

My friend lives in a neighboring state, we are ~370 miles apart - I went over there to help him fix the new tcu, but now I'm back home and helping him through teamviewer.

Best Regards

Good afternoon, I came across your post as I've been trying to solve the same problem for a couple of months. The hydraulic pump oscillates between 0.2 and 0.9 bar of pressure and when I see the status of the pump the same as in your images and exactly the same errors, I have replaced all the spare parts I have thought of in mechatronics and I can't solve it. In your case, were you able to correct it? Greetings in advance.
