Problems getting the radio code for Amundsen

Featured Replies

I went to a Skoda dealer today to get the radio code for the Amundsen+ I recently bought. They used VIN-number for the car the stereo came from, but they were unsuccessfull getting the correct code. They told me they would send a request to somewhere in Germany, and hopefully it will get sortet next week. I was wondering if anyone else have had similar problems after a retrofit (for PFL MK2 Octavia in my case)?

Have you tried ebay, they seem to do it by serial.

No, I have not done that yet. I've looked at some previous posts that the dealer is unable to get code unless the radio is in the original car. Is that true? That will be problem because that car is broken up.

I ended buying a code on ebay. Now I just have to explain to the dealer that I don´t need the code from them anymore...

I got a code for an old head unit a while ago, just needed the unit and proof of ID, 2 minutes later the code was mine.

Mind you, my dealer is fairly laid-back. :)
