Hi, I have recently bought an Octavia VRS and I must so WOW!!! Definately my best car so far! Not quite as quick as my old Lancia Thema Turbo but so much better to drive!

Anyway.. I have a question:

Q- I have noticed a creaking sound coming from my front suspension when going over speed humps, and sometimes a knock, what is this and is it going to be expensive for a dealer to fix???

I too had the same knocking and creaking as you describe. My ARB bushings were replaced but the problem still remained. It turned out to be the bushings on the radiator. ( A big thank you to Briskoda for helping me trace the fault ). It is a fairly big job, which does involve removing the front bumper :eek: . Hope you get to the root of the problem. I decided to replace the ARB bushes myself today, pretty easy job really!

So far the squeaking has gone but the knock remains,

I'll have to check the centre exhaust mount next!

I had my exhaust mounts changed but the knocking still remained. Once the radiator bushings were changed the car was silent

Mine does it...but only in the summer for some reason.All quiet at the moment

Regarding the radiator mounts, can't I just wedge a peice of rubber between the radiator and body, this should stop any movement, and if the knock remains it's gotta be the exhaust!
