1st Idea of mine would be to fix the issues as clearly erasing the codes and them coming back indicates problems.

Exactly. The codes are there to tell you that there's a problem, not just for a laugh. You've got to fix the problem then clear the faults....

The description is in the text isn't it? The inlet manifold would be where to start looking, a quick google suggests that it's not an uncommon issue on these engines

Id say the inlet manifold flap has seized and popped the fuse, which is also the fuse for the control unit for the fans.

Does anyone know where the fuse is that controls the inlet manifold flap? (octavia 2 1.9tdi, climatronic) can only find location for mk1 octavia.
