Somebody has seen fit to smash the back window on my Y reg Fabia, and since it's off the road at the minute it's not insured. Boot lids are pretty cheap on eBay so I was thinking of buying one of them and replacing the glass myself. Has anybody done this and how easy is it?

They are bonded in and unless you have the specialist tools I would not even try to remove as you are likely smash it.

As abovertical. Be easier to replace the whole boot.

As window is already smashed not a real problem, but, fitting a new window to tail-gate is a real problem, being bonded etc..

I was meaning removing the glass from the 2nd hand tailgate could be the issue getting it out with out damage
