Just wondering when someone is going to create a set of LED tail lights for the Fabia???

And im not talking about fitting the crap bulbs of "ultra LED`s website" either.

They are fairly bright on the back of 3 series BMW's.

If one of the LED's go, it it possible to replace that particular one or do you have to replace the unit ?

Usuallyt you have to replace the unit, LEDs have longer life though. The one in the pic doesnt seem to have a reflector either, so would be illegal for road use in the UK unless a separate one is stuck onto the bumper.

From a practical point of view, how would the electronics work? The rear light has a simple four bulb (bayonet fitting?) style on a plastic clip. My head struggles to know how the hell it would work with an LED unit? :confused: I kind of envisage wires coming from every LED in each group to some kind of bayonet fitting that would have to plug into the light fitting? Enough thinking for me.

Would rather just mod mine for the 2005 new style "C" rear lens'.

If I was to fit the Lexus style lights to my car, then yes, tacky it would be, but by fitting decent style LED lights, im increasing safety and style. So does that mean the 3 series BMW ones are Tacky??? I dont think so, Range rover, doubt it.....Volvo....I think not, Oh and not to forget the parent company`s new Passat and Polo ( LED LIGHTS I BELIEVE ). So as car markers are rolling out this technology, how long before Skoda are influenced by VW?????

I guess you would stop buying Skoda`s because they fitted LED lights???

Skoda will catch up, but when is the great question, i personally think on here the only thing to stop people buying Skodas, are 1) If they price it @ the same level as VW's or 2) the chvas get hold of them
