Sunshades Estate rear windows

Featured Replies

Hi

Bought Skoda official sunshades for rear windows and rear estate windows for my Octy 2 estate.

(I know, the most expensive option, am probably daft.  But looked around at all the alternatives and decided these were the best option to keep the sun off my little grandson and to look the part)

Only rear estate ones have arrived so far.

They come with one clip for each blind and a fitting tool.  Instructions  say to fit clip at top of window.    Do I really need to do this, will the blinds not keep themselves up without me doing all that fiddling ???

Any advice appreciated

Cheers

You may get away without using the clips. My brother didn't use them in his Octy and I haven't used them in either of mine. The blinds wedge into place pretty well. Over time the top can start to move out a bit do I just push it back in. You may also get away without using the clips for the tailgate but I find the top edge sags a bit so I have mine clipped in to keep it flush with the window.

Thanks Sarge

Gonna go for it without clips :-)

Not gone for the tailgate blind for now so that not an issue :-)

Thanks for the advice

Have gone without the clip fitting for about a week now and they have not sagged too much.

But have decided to do things "properly"

I have the clips.  I have the tool for pulling back the window rubber.  But cannot fathom from the instruction pictures exactly how or what the clips actually attach to .   I can see they go at the top of the window, but can anyone tell me which way round they go and what I actually attach them to having pulled back the window rubber ????   Any advice much appreciated

Cheers.  Thanks v much.

IIRC the clips for the blinds for the boot windows clip onto the edge if the headlining. As I've never used mine I'm not sure how easy it is to do but I'm sure they should just slide over the edge of the headlining.
