Hi all. Feeling a bit puzzled and somewhat out of pocket :(

 

I had the age old issue with the indicator relay going on the blink, and clicking away quite happily even when I wasn't indicating. Everything I've read here and also for similar era Golf/Leons is that this is a quick and easy fix requiring replacement of the relay (which is also the hazard warning switch) in the dash.

 

So, £30 ish later I have a new indicator relay, which I happily fitted up this morning. It works fine. But sadly, it still clicks away randomly when I don't want it to :(

 

Any ideas why or where else I should be looking?

Other common cause is the indicator stalk. I had it in mine and was going to get some electrical contact cleaner and spray inside the switch, as apparently that cures it? Mine decided to stop doing it now after I switched it up and down a lot of times. Hope that helps?
