I've just bought a Skoda Felicia 1999 1.3 LXI as a cheap car to replace my even older Volvo 745 (1988 model). There are a few things that need doing to the Felicia that I may well be seeking help for in the future, but for now just an introduction.

 

I was born in England, but migrated to Australia as a ten pound pom in 1972. Lived there for almost 30 years before moving to Sweden in late 2001. I had a number of cars in England, Australia and now Sweden, but this is the first Skoda, so wish me well. One of the classics in Australia, which I'm almost ashamed to mkention, was a Leyland P76.... Say no more.

 

My current Volvo has over 500,000km on the clock and is beginning to fade away - not to mention costing a fortune in fuel and lately maintenance, so the Skoda, for the princely sum of 1500kr (around £100) seems a cheap replacement.

 

Good to find a Skoda club - if the folks here are as helpful as those in the Volvo equivalent then I'm in good hands.
