I am about to buy a new Fabia TSi after running an sdi  break for the last eleven years and 300,000 kms. Would anybody be prepared to comment on the differences between the 60 and 90. The kilometrage will not be so great this time. Thank you in advance.

Depends on what you want !  The 90 has been getting rather good reviews for its balance of performance, economy and driveability. The 60 has been receiving a lot of  criticisms of being under-powered. Then - those reviewers have probably never driven a non-turbo diesel (like the SD) !! My last non-turbo diesel (a 1986 Ascona C ) was

shockingly lacking in verve - but I wurr 'appy in dose days!  "Tell that to t'young people these days .. wouldn't believe you!"

Dithane, Thanks. With the SDi there is a lot of forward planning - no bad thing- so I'll be looking at the 90.Thanks for your reply.
