One of those passed me on the way home from work a couple of weeks ago, really nice looking car... and I suppose for what it is not bad price... the motors are very powerful and the range is very good for electric...

in 5 years ownership id save £25,000 in diesel...£10,000 back of the vat, £5000 off HMG, and all its £45,000 written off tax wise in year 1...

My neighbour has one, it's amazing. I couldnt justify the outlay, in fact I couldn't afford it.

Am I right in thinking that currently some motorway service stations let you recharge your car for free. Imagine filling up with petrol or diesel and not having to pay!!!.

Sat in a Tesla for about 1/2 hr. when they were displaying one in Liverpool.  The multi-media screen is the size of a coffee-table.

 

Would certainly be on my list if I had 60 grand.

 

 

What sort of size are they, Octavia? can 3 fit in the rear?

 

The Ampera hybrid has only 2 rear seats

You can fit 3 on the back. Lots of legroom, but because of the battery shape the rear footwell is quite shallow and you sit with your knees around your ears.

Eerily quiet, and handle like a go-kart for something so big. They must be about XF size.

Schipol airport have them as taxis.
