  1. Fantastic effort gents. Half a million kms coming on…👌👍 Mines a petrol 3.6 but has 310,000kms on it. I had a replacement chain issue under warranty early on at 90,000 (a pulley bearing failed) but otherwise just regular maintenance. Underside bits need replacing as it lived in Switzerland for ten years of its life and although no salt as such, the chemicals do their thing on the exposed metal bits. Replace as I go. Just had new suspension coils. Still runs brilliantly.
  2. Oops. Double post.
  3. I can’t help unfortunately as I’m in the same boat ie. No front sensors, but would like some. From limited experience on other cars, the sensors tend to held in place by their own tolerance fit ‘clip’ fittings (if that makes sense). Good luck with it.
  4. I had 17” alloys with all season tyres for the past year. A great compromise between aesthetics and comfort. Mine has been lowered all its life from new in Switzerland (it’s a 2010 car bought used by me in 2013) until last week that is (French Certificicate Conformity issues…🙄🤦‍♂️) and it worked wonderfully on 17’s and 19’s. Now on 18’s.
  5. I just ordered a new ‘used’ set of original alloys for mine too. In really good condition. Came from Lithuania via Ovoko (a brilliant company for decent Skoda spares). Approximately £320 for 4 delivered to France with 60% worn tyres (which I wasn’t expecting tbh). All for less than the price of one ‘new’ original Skoda one. I needed a set to help get my car through it’s registration process here in France…a story for another time.
  6. Hi there - it should not be on all the time, only when doors/hatch are opened, or not at all (depends on the switch/button setting on the torch I think). Your prognosis sounds right regarding corroded or knackered terminals (or torch possibly…).
  7. I really enjoyed following this thread Trevor - do you still have the car? I’ve followed some of your advice and tips here. I love my 3.6. I bought mine used in 2013 (it's a 2010 car) and its a keeper. 👍
  8. Is it the panoramic sunroof? I believe it's the same fit on all B6 platforms (Superb/Passat). Mine is currently not working - just ‘happened’ out of the blue but it's closed and water-tight. I think it's the interior switch or motor that has packed up. I’ve looked at places to source bits but will look properly when I can afford to have the car off the road for a bit in the summer. A few places/references here that I found might be of help? I’ve not used them though. Good luck with it: https://milautoparts.es/en/auto--carrocera--ventanas--techo-panormico/mod--vw--passat--passat-b6/?attempt=1 https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/europe/passat-cc-b6-typ-3c-parts-catalog/panorama-sunroof/ https://motoallegro.net/en/z-cat/superb--panoramnaya-krysha/?attempt=1 https://autobutik.com.ua/en/avt--kuzov--stiklo--panoramnij-dah/mod--skoda--superb/?srsltid=AfmBOoqaVtxqeuppGs_RCUx7b5QTr-02p-A5sHdsbyWyyctfMGF8hM0y&attempt=1
  9. Welcome Csep, It took 10 seconds to translate your post as below: “Hello! Can anyone in Budapest and the surrounding area help me? The radio thought for a moment today and asked for a reset, unfortunately I couldn't find the code anywhere. I took the radio out but only found this serial number. SKZ6Z7M6148023 has anyone ever had this happen?” Use the translation above and post it in the right thread to get the information you need. Használd a fenti fordítást, és tedd közzé a megfelelő témában, hogy megkapd a szükséges információkat. 👍
  10. Mine is a 2010 car and I’ve updated as much, and as painfully, as I can. My car has the TV option too but now I can’t update the maps further and I’m just wanting to junk the whole thing and replace with a new DIN size unit that will slot in directly and give me Bluetooth, CarPlay, Google maps etc. from my iPhone. Anyone done this? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance, Dave (Wile7)
  11. Another year and another update (see full post on Skoda Superb Picture thread). Car has just had a DSG box oil and filter service at - wait for it - a Skoda dealer here in France. Fantastic service and cheaper by €200 euro than the nearest ‘specialist’. Car properly cleaned, too. Friendly, efficient and really nice people. If you are travelling through northern France I’d absolutely recommend these guys and girls at Skoda Lemauviel, Avranches (link below). https://share.google/uWVVwVx8WvLhOPoTQ

A few more battle scars but smooth, quick, comfortable and lovely. Just did a Geneva - Perpignan - Toulouse - Normandy run over a week and click clockwork although at the DSG service they discovered a broken front spring which was weird. It's driving fine. So, the next job to sort ASAP. Anyone know a good supplier of KW springs for a 2010 MY 3.6 AWD Superb? I might even revert to standard VAG springs for conformity in the short term…and get the summer 19” wheels back on 🤔🤷‍♂️ https://share.google/uWVVwVx8WvLhOPoTQ
  13. Hi JHJ70, 8J will fit if the offset is adjusted accordingly. From memory you need an ET of 40 with an 8J rim (ET 45 on a 7.5 J rim), otherwise the rim will stick out beyond the bodywork. Plenty of online ‘wheel & tyre’ fitment sites can help you here. 👍
  14. I’ve not experienced this but it sounds like it might be a switch issue - pop the switch module/unit out from the side of the seat and unplug/replug the switches from the loom as a start. Also, disconnect and reconnect the main battery can solve many weird issues. Normally a simple fix on weird ‘eletrickery’ things 🤞
  15. I have the xenon lights on mine (which adjust with cornering too) and they are really good. That said, I’d love to fit a set of Cibies for extra long range like the rally cars of the period. Has anyone done that? Similar to these in the photo.…
